[Another single card rises to tap against the bottom of his face. He peers at Shirasu over it briefly, and then the vines wrap up over Shirasu like a cocoon. It swings Shirasu back and forth teasingly.

But then finally unfurls open again.]

My ability was still sealed on arriving here.

[for once, hisoka is not getting spraybottled like a bad cat.

shirasu does tense when the vines wrap around him, but given that there's nothing he can do about that (or, you know, literally anything) at the moment... he waits that out, just shooting hisoka a very put-upon look.]

And just what was the point of that?

Just having some fun. You looked so sad when you wandered up. I thought someone hurt your feelings, and you needed cheering up.

[He leans over the edge of his own vine hammock in Shirasu's direction, one arm dangling.]

Is your ability really sealed?

I wouldn't call it sad.

[that implies something besides a whole lot of apathy. he settles back in, though, watching hisoka curiously-- but not entirely wary.]

Why? Do you intend to take advantage of that fact, if it is?

[Amused, and maybe a bit mischievous, Hisoka's eyes glitter. Shirasu's vine hammock slowly starts getting closer toward him, almost pointedly. But it stops a foot or so off.]

It's not as fun without abilities, but I guess I'll just have to play with you without them. You can ask Lune and Sol to fix it.

They took all your toys and locked you away. They were very scared of a man whose legs they broke. That's still the biggest joke of all, isn't it? Not being worried as much about each other.

[His dangling arm swings back and forth.]

It would be a little fun regardless. The risk is I know you're more skilled than you show. You're quite dangerous. Maybe they should have been scared.

They should have paid more attention, at the least. Did you know they let me keep this?

[shirasu idly loops one dangling length of his headband around his forearm, then pulls it tight, leaving it a few moments before he lets go.]

And they never bothered checking to see if I'd been healed. They were content enough to assume I'd stay as defenseless as they tried to leave me-- and in the end only someone corrupt was willing to strike.

[A grin curves his lips back as Shirasu wraps the headband around the arm.]

Did you pretend to be injured? How mischievous. [He hooks his chin on the edge of the hammock.] You and I should have been the last to die.

Who came to send you away?

We should have. Regardless of the outcome... I think that's a fight I wouldn't have minded at all. It's a shame we didn't have more time over there.

[it would be more satisfying, really, and if he'd pulled off what he wanted to before...

ah, well.]

Though Kresnik-kun gave me a good fight, as well. It was a little more even, with how he refused to use his powers.

I'd appreciate you keeping that to yourself, though. I'm curious to see if they'll manage to catch him.

Julius? [That actually gets him to laugh. There's a little more to the joke Shirasu won't get, not knowing Kurapika.] I almost gave the gun to him. But I knew he was smart enough to find a way on his own. Emma didn't think he was interesting enough to ever check even when I suggested it.

I won't tell. Cross my heart, hope to... Well, I'm already dead, so.

We'll see if she's changed her mind, then. I suppose I was right to find him somewhat familiar.

[he accepts it much easier like this than if someone else had done it, or just used powers to kill him when he had none.]

And don't worry. I'm sure I could find some way to get back at you for it, death or no death.

[hisoka abruptly gets a small jet if water arcing towards him.

(: someone does have his powers after all.]

[ACK. Excuse?? He tries to quickly lean out of the way, but the water gets him right across the side of the face. He shouldn't have brought the man closer. Shirasu gets a flat look.]

So you do have it. Now I can't take advantage of you being powerless.

You say that as if I ever would have let you take advantage of me.

You do play hard to get. I guess it's why we get along.

[he hums an amused note, though, as he forms an orb of water between his hands and idly toys with its shape. he missed his powers, thanks.]

Perhaps I actually am hard to get, you know.

[For a moment or two, he watches the orb. A sliver of spike vine, maybe a thorn, but thicker, juts out suddenly through it. Being water, it probably won't pop, but it might splash Shirasu a little.]

But you did come visit me so quickly that first week.

On business, yes. Are you sure you aren't estimating yourself too highly, Hisoka?

[it does create a splash, but shirasu gestures, spinning those drops of water together; the orb ripples, its surface stretching out to gather them back in before he alters its shape. shirasu reforms it around that spiked bit of vine, making it the center of a water flower that then closes around it.]

Why would I do that? [Binch, he is always estimating himself too highly.] Are you saying you didn't come to see me because you were interested?

[Oh no. With literally anyone else but these two, that would be really cute.] Hooh. [Is Shirasu giving me a flower? He's a tad less interested in it than he is in how skilled Shirasu has become with the water itself.]

You got a lot better with your hands.

Our meeting was coincidental. It simply worked out in our favor.

I'm a little out of practice, after having it sealed for a while, but... it's easy enough to pick back up.

anyway, shirasu doesn't bother turning to fully face him, letting the flower burst and re-shaping it into more of a cushion shape beneath his head. water pillow. he's comfier now.]

Yes. [His lids fall equally as lazily over his eyes.] Everyone gives off life energy. People lose it all the time out of the top of the head. It's such a small amount, no one is hurt.

But once you open the points of your body which leak life energy and do not close them, you'll die. Becoming aware of life energy and being able to manipulate it is the first step toward mastering your aura.

For example, mine is Bungee Gum... I gave my aura the properties of both rubber and gum. It's very useful. Maybe before we leave, I'll show it to you.
