Each week, we do a task in order to receive a clue about how this works. It seems everyone must die. One should be left. However, the one left shouldn't be corrupted. [ha ha] Oh.
Apparently, it's possible to be revived and returned home.
[He would honestly be very pissed if the person left had the power to pick and choose. He'd be very pissed if they chose not to return him to his rightful place after all the hard work and effort he put in to become powerful and, God forbid, "do the right thing"--since it benefitted him...]
We can ask. Or you and I can simply do a task for this week and see what secrets they give us. Hm?
[He just pretends to keep pouting. He even sinks back into the hammock far enough that only the edge of him can be seen over the edge, sort of like he's sulking.
He's mostly hamming it up, but Shirasu deserves it for being mean.]
I'm sure Tsurumaru can be tolerated for one more...
Ah, you're trying to make me infidelious. I had to keep up appearances, or people would start asking questions. You were shy and wanted to stay a secret.
[He finally leans to hook his chin over the edge of the hammock so he can peer at Shirasu again.]
Let's not fight. It makes me tired. You're the only one for me. ♥
It's better to have more information than less. I'd like to know our chances, though depending on what we find out... I may not be terribly inclined to do much more.
[if it turns out there's a solid chance they won't get brought back by whoever's left at the end, then honestly, fuck it. he's not helping the living if he could get nothing from it.]

[No he didn't, but listen.]

he raises a brow at that, though, head tilted; there's slightly more interest in his expression, there.]
It's possible, is it... but how probable? Is it a case where the one left chooses? If so- those like you and I may well be left behind.

[he just died and he's tired and he hates everything?
but- information.]
I suppose if it might let us find out, though-- it might be worth the effort. I still can't help but feel our chances are low, either way.

You aren't the only one who's bitter, you know. If you don't, then I'll have to do it with someone else...
no subject
[he says that so casually for what amounts to 'what, am I your only option'.]
no subject
[Stop bullying him. :(]
And here I thought we made a good team. Oh well... I suppose I'll have to work with someone else...
no subject
I didn't say that I wouldn't, did I? Or are you trying to make me jealous?

[shirasu is just
going to continue to go with it, because he's still being a little mean. it's making him feel better, and also, he refuses to give in to this first.
i hate that this is the one thing helping the apathy, what the fuck.]
I suppose you can return to him, then, if you're so eager.
no subject
Are you really planning to give me up so easily? I didn't know our marriage meant so little to you.
no subject
[he exhales a sigh, there, though just like hisoka's hamming it up-- it's only there for effect.]
After all, you've called others the same.

[shirasu takes a moment or two to pretend he's considering that, then eventually nods.]
I'll accept that, then.
[he'll just take that as hisoka conceding, basically.]
no subject
[It doesn't sound like he's thankful, of course. Just going along with their stupid game of being playful and petty and teasing.]
Does that mean you're going to do the task with me?

Maybe the condition is all or nothing, hm? They won't be able to pick and choose. We should do the task and see. It might not be so doom and gloom.
no subject
It'd be entertaining that way, wouldn't it? Getting those they like back, but unable to leave us behind...
Well. Let's see if we can't find out.
