[While Hisoka sits on vines-- I assume they're also by the water, so Shirasu can just. Take a seat on the river itself, settling in on top of the water as if it's solid ground. Someone's been practicing more, apparently.]
[Ohhh. Shirasu is taking to the water thing. Bad, he likes that.]
I told her you were boring, but... she insisted, so I had to let her. It doesn't matter. Nothing important came up. [A faint smile.] She knows your element is water now, though.
Maybe she won't put together you spoke to the bird last week. [A pause.] Oh.
Well, that's an annoyance, but-- not as bad as it could be.
[He exhales a breath, there, shaking his head.]
I think I know why she'd have insisted. If she became suspicious after last weekend, of course she'd want to know more about someone she's been talking to... we've been speaking fairly often, so if anyone else had to find out my element, I suppose she isn't the worst one.
[Both brows rise at the reveal of the paper.] Hoh...? A surprise? [Wow. What a clever bird indeed, sticking evidence on Shirasu.
Sure enough, one of the slithering vines curls up to Shirasu, around the top of the forearm and the wrist, to pluck the paper away before almost caressingly returning back over to Hisoka.]
Several people vouched for her at the trial. About being innocent. I wonder which of them she's told. It's probably why your plan didn't work. [He lulls his head back against two of the vines.] If they knew, they would be more likely to keep her from being framed.
[He waves the talisman he has in his hands pointedly, smirking. Or he could just make her tell him.]
I'd assume so, yes. A couple of them were very quick to defend her innocence...
[he continues lounging on the water, getting comfortable, and waves a dismissive hand at the talisman.]
Save that. Ah, but while we're on the topic-- I wouldn't use that thing to do it, seeing as he knows about it, but I think you should consider checking Shess. He's either got an ability of his own, he's working with one, or perhaps he's just very bright.
He's the one who asked about whether the food was some sort of clue; it may just be that he's the one who picked up on it, but if I'd provided a hint people failed to pick up on, I would find a way to point it out. However, it's equally possible someone told him they'd do so and he followed up for them.
[For a moment, he juggles the talisman on his knuckles, and then he bumps it up to a lone vine hanging around above him. Fine motor skill play, trying to use the vine to do the same thing.]
Shess is who I planned to check, but... Emma insisted on checking someone she wanted again. I agreed because she let me write the note and pick who to send it to as well. When she told me she wanted to check you...
Well, I planned to use the note to send you a warning. In case your misdeeds came up.

It was rather fun. I suppose every world is corrupted in its own way.

[He's just going to find a spot to settle in, thanks.]
Did you want to compare notes, or was there something else you wished to discuss?
no subject
I had something to tell you before we were whisked away so suddenly. [He props his chin up in his palm.] She checked you.

And just what were the results?

It's Emma.

How did she take it?
no subject
She knew she wasted the opportunity. Or either... she wanted me to believe she did.
no subject
[She's been good company, actually-- it'd be unfortunate if that changed.
But while they're speaking of suspicion, Shirasu seems to remember something, before pulling a piece of paper from his pocket.]
Ah, by the way. This was hidden on me, and she got a brief look at it. Not enough to read, I believe, but... he really was a clever bird, hm?
[He offers it out so Hisoka can grab it with a vine if he wants.]
I'll have to make a new one starting with the same letters, in case she asks to see it later.

Ah. Sneaky.

[Just take it without feeling his arm up, thanks. But he waves it off with a sigh, moving on.]
I suppose I'm lucky no one looked too closely, but at least it's been found. I'll have to dispose of it.
no subject
Hope you come up with something good to say. [He waves the paper between two fingers.] For when she wants to read it.
[When the vine comes back this time, it dips down around the back of Shirasu's neck and over the shoulder. It tickles him in the face with the paper.
But Hisoka doesn't even look over.]

[One hand reaches up to take the paper back from that vine.
The other draws his dagger and slices the vine in two, cutting off the part that's touching him.]
no subject
That was all. Oh. Hm. [One more thing.] Lune did say something about Four's role. It's protective.
So you should be nice.
[They almost framed a good role, yay. :)]

[he sounds so tired about it, though.]
If getting rid of her isn't an option, that's all I can do, but she's still somewhat difficult.

Not that I'd waste it.

[he sounds a little amused at that, but-- well. better for it to go to him anyway, if there's nothing to share about others.]
Did she say anything else about why she was so set on me, or did it seem like she objected to him in particular at all?
no subject
[He dead-ass told Emma he thought Shirasu was boring. It's fine.]

[gestures at smacking hisoka in the face with a pendulum and telling yoh not to listen to him
it's fine.]
