[It at least matches up. Hm. Guess they're stuck. It's almost like being in Greed Island, except, like, forced.] Ah well. It should be an interesting game, I guess... [He glances over at Shirasu.]

[Shirasu can't call that too shocking an outlook, after some of his comments so far. After a momentary pause, a contemplative glance back down the path that led here-]

I would say it's strange that a game seems to have few guidelines for playing, but... I'd assume you think it's more fun that way.

[That gets a slightly arched brow, a silent question-- how's the guess.]

What else could it be? All of us here, unable to leave. A place we've never been. Two "leaders" we don't know. None of us have met anyone else before except for a few. Hm, hm. What a curious game.

[He follows Shirasu's gaze back along the path toward the entrance.]

I suppose guidelines could make it more interesting. Depending on what they are...

It puts us all on a relatively level field, at the least.

[That last comment seems to catch his interest, though, and Shirasu gives him a curious look.]

[To this, Hisoka folds out both hands and shrugs. He leans off the cleaning bowl and turns around to face it, peering into the water.]

Depends on the guidelines. Maybe we'll find out.

[He pokes the water with a single finger to make ripples.]

And you? Are rules something precious to you?

I wouldn't say precious. Helpful, certainly-- and in any case, where they're not provided, people tend to make their own.

[He shrugs his shoulders there, in a casual little gesture.]

If no framework presents itself, I'd expect us to begin organizing one before long... particularly since reaching a consensus was mentioned.

[Briefly, he makes a face. :\ Organizing? Garbage.]

And you expect everyone to agree on a list of rules...?

[Honest question.]

I don't. There's no list that everyone would agree with, in a group this size.

[Arms still folded, his fingers tap thoughtfully against his forearm.]

But we're all stuck together, after all. It isn't as though we can simply leave if we disagree, or if we don't get along...

Well, but there's no guarantee either way. Perhaps no one will think it necessary-- I'm not inclined to go to the trouble, personally. We may not be here long enough for it to matter.

Then why worry. [Come on, live a little. Like........ Hisoka. Who just scoops up a handful of very pure, cleansed water so he can drink it. Technically okay maybe. But, like,

he doesn't burst into flames. Sad.] If it's a game, play it. If there's rules to harm us, there's ways of getting around them.

Did I say that I was worried? I'll manage, whether they present themselves or not.

[Another shrug! He's just considering potential outcomes, here, Hisoka asked for this.]

They're often necessary, but not all rules are worth following, or made by someone worth following.

[Shirasu sounds too confident to be worried about much else. Hisoka appreciates it? Bad. He's kind of interested.]

Ah... Hearing you say that... It really makes me excited. [sigh] I find it amusing you say that but are going through the rules of this shrine.

Some things are habitual.

[He's just not even going to acknowledge Hisoka's comment about excitement, thanks.]

Besides, I have no objection to them. There's no need to go against them just because they exist.

but after a moment, he eyes Hisoka with a little more interest, considering before he speaks again.]

Hm. If you're someone fond of surprises, Morow-san... I have a proposition you might be interested in.

[Oh no, don't tease him with good stuff. Suddenly very interested, he gives Shirasu his undivided attention, leaning in.]

Oh? Tell me.

[wagashis]

Provided ours are different-- trade elements with me, at least where others are concerned. It'd be difficult to keep up in private, but at least if we're in the same place, we can use our abilities on each others' behalf.

An interesting way to keep them obscured, I think, without simply refusing to admit to them-- and you're good at tricks, aren't you?

[Does he trust Hisoka much? Not really, not this soon. But he does seem like someone who might go along with things, provided he's given some reason to, and Shirasu can work with that.]

If we have the same one... well, I suppose then we could at least assist each other a bit, if we're aware of that.

Hoh... [My, what a request. A smirk curves his lips up. He seems to be considering it earnestly.] A fan of illusions, hm?

[The distrust is mutual. But that's okay.]

Alright. I accept.

[It'll be fun.]

Something like that, yes.

[That gets an approving nod, and while it can't really be called a smile, one corner of his mouth curves faintly.]

If we're in agreement, then-- shall we share?

[A pause. and then he smiles again.] Okay. ♪ [From out of the belt at his lower back, he pulls a dagger. It's pointed at Shirasu at first, though close to himself.]

It might be a little hard for me.

[But then he turns it and extends a quick arm over the cleansing bowl. There's no hesitation when he swipes the dagger hard and long from wrist to elbow. Only... the dagger whines like it's scraping stone.

The length of his forearm is somewhat jagged at the edges, like rock, and glossy.]

Surprise. ♠

Earth, hm... I'll admit, I am a little surprised. It wouldn't have been my first guess.

[He does sound slightly impressed, as well-- it's not a bad choice at all. Practical, he thinks.]

As for mine-

[There's a pause as he focuses, makes a brief gesture of his hand-

And the water in the bowl splashes Hisoka.

[Anyway, yeah!!

There's no reason not to look or anything, so when the water laps out of the bowl, he absolutely turns his head to glance down inside of it.

...Water?

[wagashis]

Exactly.

[Though when he looks back up, Shirasu is just. Not there.

Instead, there's a haze of vapor in the air that hangs there for several seconds, eventually reforming into a slightly disoriented Shirasu, who brushes a hand through his hair as if making sure he's solid again.]

...that one's certainly something.

[Awahhh. How fun! Hisoka's eyes light up; he's clearly entertained by Shirasu's disappearance. The haze doesn't matter. Disappearing trick!]

Haaa. I'm a little jealous. Being able to vanish, how exciting. I don't know if I should trust you now or not...
