[Shirasu is probably minding his own business, walking alone, and he promptly gets accosted by--
--flowers?
It's very Alice in Wonderland. The flowers are standing straight up on the ground, the roots present and twisted like legs. These legs carry them along together in a little parade, the stems waving, the leaves flapping like arms. The wide circumference of their heads turn as if they are looking faces. The others, with bulbs, spin back and forth.
They seem to be leading him somewhere in silence...?]
For several moments, Shirasu simply watches them with a slight frown, observing, because this is certainly a lot of effort to go to-- but there's really only one showoff he knows, isn't there?
So he eventually follows along with a sigh, though considering the situation? He's absolutely on higher alert than usual, on the off chance this is leading to some sort of surprise. This is the sort of thing he'd expect to be a distraction, he's just Like This... he also keeps a little distance from those flowers, in case.]
[Shirasu isn't wrong? It is a distraction. But, like, a useless one.
The flowers march and skip toward the garden and the pond. They don't talk or make any noise, but they occasionally "turn around" and beckon Shirasu cheerfully like little spirits.
Hisoka is waiting because of course he is.
His back is turned, though that isn't surprising. He's too confident in himself to worry about being harmed in surprise. He's always ready? Mostly. What is surprising is the rest of the flowers at their feet.
A small, thin path from Shirasu to Hisoka has been wilted and browned, almost as if the earth had died where Hisoka had stepped. Which is fair.]
Hi. ♠
[The flower sentinels which had lead Shirasu here quickly throw their makeshift arms up at the sight. Then hunch over and begin quivering, covering their faces.]
[He folds his arms, eyes fixed on Hisoka, that tension still in his posture; he's ready to draw his dagger if anything happens, but for now he's observing as he always is, glancing briefly to the dead vegetation.]
What is this about, Morow-san?
[Just more practice with his ability, or is this something else.]
[It isn't hard to read the somewhat sinister aura. Maybe the way Hisoka stands, maybe the way he holds himself. Slowly, he twists, and he turns around to look back at Shirasu.
He just gives a very shit-eating smile, good-natured, and the aura is gone.] Just kidding. ♦
Giving you a hard time? Mine is also quite the handful. But he seems to have been in the bad business for a while. What a surprise. I watched him burn a man alive for talking too much. It was pretty exciting.
Mine seemed to have little trouble killing those she thought were deserving. I asked before last weekend what she thought should be done with whoever killed Tsurumaru, as well, and she didn't hesitate to suggest execution.
As far as I can tell, yes, she does. She seems to be afraid of dying, and dislikes the thought of having to worry for her life-- I believe she's willing to help for that, even if her motivations turn out to be something different.
I also believe our partnership may keep her from being a threat, though now that we know new ones can be formed? I'm not fully certain.
She found out I lied to her about something, thanks to what she saw, and was quite upset about it. I'm not so sure you'd be first in line.
[After a contemplative pause, he adds:]
Just understand that if anyone hears otherwise about me, I'll know where it came from, and you're at a disadvantage when it comes to knowing what each of us can do. [Thanks for that! But he doesn't linger on it, continuing all too casually.] I'm wondering if it might not be worth acquiring a partner who's easier to handle.
[Oh, ho. Giving him a dangerous warning? How brave. His eyes glint--not fear or offense. Hungry, so maybe Shirasu shouldn't have issued the threat.]
Scary.
[He doesn't sound scared. As usual.]
You want to get rid of her? A shame. You must have shown her something really awful. [He looks thoughtful for a moment.] Your partner has been talking to Minato.
I'm sure you have as well. You haven't seemed like the type who's comfortable just sitting back, especially in this situation.
[The question is what Hisoka's been up to when he's not meeting with Shirasu, which considering his apparent leaning toward finding things that are interesting to him? Could be literally anything.]
[Wow. Listen. Everyone knows he's digging into shit as he pleases. Shirasu, on the other hand? No one has a fucking clue (maybe) except him and Four.]
I'm only having a good time. Well, I would like to keep a giant mess from happening, too. Otherwise, how will I be around to continue to have a good time?
w1, wednesday

I have some information.

[Does he look slightly disappointed when that aura suddenly fades? Maybe. He just settles in near the pond, more comfortable closer to his element.]
Well? What have you learned?
no subject
[Pretending to look curious, he raises a hand and holds his chin, the other one tucked under that arm's elbow.]
Oh, by the way... Have you touched your partner recently?
no subject
[he looks
so annoyed, at the thought.]
She really may end up being a problem, at this rate.

[(dana and ty voice) closes my eyes]
Lea claims he wants to fix the core. Make it stable. Do you know if your partner wants to help Sol and Lune?

What ever shall you do? I think she would be more likely to get rid of me before you. Everyone thinks you're very innocent. It's kind of funny.

I wonder what about.
no subject
I'd say it's more that I don't believe we'll truly get along.
[He's not confirming or denying what kind of memory she saw-- that's his own business.]
Did Minato-kun not want to say what they'd been speaking about?
no subject
He didn't say. I didn't dig it out of him so he wouldn't tell anyone else I was trying.
no subject
[He knows dismissal when he sees it-- he gives it often enough himself. So he just sighs, shaking his head.]
I do have to wonder how she came up in your conversation, exactly.
no subject
[Was Hisoka going to tell Shirasu the others? Mmmmmmaybe not.]
He also confirmed Lili's element to be water.
no subject
[Is he going to share? Maybe not if Hisoka's being like this.
god this is the worst fucking partnership]

You've been so busy. I'm almost jealous.

[His tone says he still doesn't believe that's all Hisoka is up to, but neither does he intend to pry at the moment.]
Anything else, then?
no subject
That's all. I thought you should be kept updated.
