whenever wartime dies down, shess is looking for him. he is, unfortunately, not happy. not because of hisoka, but because he's been drugged and he doesn't like having his mental state altered?? he doesn't like being angry either, which is also just making him more annoyed.
Shess has a spark in the eyes which hadn't been there before, and boy, it makes Hisoka rather happy to see it. A pleased, wide grin curls his lips back. True, he has a stabbed leg, but it doesn't matter.
shess puts his tablet away—and then, without warning, launches a kick at hisoka, because he's pretty neither of them is all that into fair sportsmanship.]
[On the contrary, Hisoka wants a fair fight, but only in the sense his skill and someone else's skill gives him a challenge. Like in this case.
Strafing and bending low at the knees, he brings up both arms solidly by his shoulder and head, letting kick hit his guard so he can see how strong Shess might be even sans normal powers.
But the leg is up, and if he isn't thrown off from the force, he's definitely going to try to wrap his arm around it at the knee.]
[pretty strong—shess's specialty is hand-to-hand combat, and it probably shows. he's here to vent out this induced anger, too, so no reason to hold back.
he expected that to be hisoka's next move if he blocked the kick, so he's already prepared to move his leg back, not wasting any time to then try and grab hisoka's arm in response.]
[Shess gets him to skid sidelong on the ground then, especially since one leg does ache if he applies too much pressure to it.
Before he can grab the leg, it's gone. He lets Shess have his arm, but only that one. With fighting, he's ambidextrous. So without hesitation or warning, he goes straight for the good stuff:

since he can't talk, all he can do is give hisoka an annoyed frown. he takes the hit without a reaction, as if the pain barely registers. undistracted, and still with a grip on hisoka, shess tries to twist his arm.]
Rather than resist and get his arm snapped, he gives a little into the twist, ready to turn over if needed. But first, he lifts his foot so he can give a kick toward one of Shess' knees.]
[the kick almost knocks shess off-balance, more for the force than anything else. shess lets go of hisoka's arm, and then responds by giving his own kick at hisoka's injured leg, because he's an asshole.]
[Being let go is what he initially wanted, so he takes that opportunity to step back. The kick catches half of his leg, and he goes partially down to keep it from being snapped, too.
The pain is only a kind of fuel, both for his own anger and excitement. He doesn't hesitate again, pushing hastily back up with his fist raised to uppercut, almost flush with Shess.]
[Despite being quick in the step back to dodge, the bad leg is, indeed, bad, and he stumbles. The fist gets him in the chest right below the collar from his attempt at an agile lean back.
It smarts.
He gets thrown a yard back, pushed far enough down he has to flip feet-over-head. When he lands, it's on his knees and toes, hands and fingers, skidding across the ground to slow.]
Only punching? How disappointing. I know someone like you has something messier up their sleeve. Don't you?

With his good leg, he pushes off, and he doesn't hold back in his run or his attack. He gets in as close as he can, fists testing opportunities by swinging unrelentingly. He'll guard, too, but the purpose is to overwhelm until there's an opening.]
[shess dodges some, takes some. still no reaction. compared to a lifetime of being maimed or torn apart, hits like these don't mean anything. the force it pushes him back with is the only annoying thing, but as long as they don't cause any real damage, he doesn't care.
he delivers what seems to be a kick aimed at hisoka's injured leg again, but stops—his real move? his hand goes straight for hisoka's neck.
[He's smart and very fast? Even with the feint, he should be able to dodge the grab.
But for some reason, Shess' fingers are able to get a good hold of the neck already enclosed in a bronze choker. Hisoka's eyes roll back slightly. If he minds being choked, he doesn't show it. Maybe it's because it's the edge of it. He knows, even angry, one of the most delicious things about Shess is pacifism.
The dagger is a magic trick.
Nothing was in his hands when he came after Shess, and then, it's there, pressed solidly into Shess' chest by the tip. The sternum, angled up to dodge the ribcage if he decides to push it in, straight for the heart.]
Ahh... I knew you had it in you. ♥ It's magnificent, isn't it? That look. [His gold eyes, when he turn down again, are burning embers of excitement.] It's a shame we don't have our abilities.
[if they had their abilities, this area would be a wasteland. shess doesn't say that. can't, for one.
he doesn't react to the dagger at his chest. there's no fear in his eyes, no acceptance either; only waiting. his grip doesn't tighten, as tempting as it is to snap hisoka's neck here and now, but he doesn't let go.

[Without pushing the dagger in, Hisoka steps forward to Shess. He doesn't try to get rid of the hand still, letting it go with him. Once he's close enough it'd be imperative to move the dagger, he does, lifting his arms to drape them up over Shess' shoulders. He makes them flush, body to body.
It's evident when he says he's turned on, he's actually turned on.]
I'm a busy man. I have a lot to do. I don't want to finish just yet. ♦ We'll save it until I really explode, even though the look in your eyes is enough to finish me now.
[And then he draws back, back out of the hand if Shess will let him go. He waves the dagger, smile dark and wide.]

though he absolutely would like for hisoka to get out of his personal space right now, shess retains the same calm, if annoyed look. while it's very tempting to kill him right now, he does in fact let go.
he takes a step back. after kneeling down, he traces on the ground,

and as he looks up at hisoka, his eyes make his other message clear: you won't be the first to succeed either.]
[Look, Hisoka thinks he's going to get him to make at least some noise. It's fine. Let him be disappointed.
